NA Standing Committee to hold Q&A session at its 36th meeting

The question-and-answer (Q&A) session will take place for one and a half days, on August 21 and the morning of August 22, discussing the implementation of resolutions of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee from the beginning of the 15th NA to the end of 2023.

The NA Office has just announced the expected agenda of the 36th meeting of the NA Standing Committee. Accordingly, the meeting will take place from August 19 to 22 at the NA Building. NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver the opening speech and coordinate with NA Vice Chairmen to take turns presiding over the meeting.

The NA Standing Committee will examine the following laws: the Law on Electricity (amended); the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations; the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People’s Army; a draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance; and others.

Notably, a Q&A session for NA deputies will be included with a focus on the fields of agriculture and rural development, industry and trade, culture, sports and tourism, justice, internal affairs, court and prosecution, security and order, and social safety.

The NA Standing Committee will also consider and approve the Prime Minister’s proposal on the appointment of Vietnamese Ambassadors; the supplement to the 2024 state budget estimate of the Ministry of Health; the rearrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in Can Tho City, Ninh Thuan Province, and Phu Yen Province; and so on.
