In her opening remarks, Khuc Thi Thoi, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the festival was designed in line with an open and community-oriented approach, placing local residents, businesses, and visitors at its centre. The programme will expand experiential activities in natural settings, along scenic routes, hillsides, and tourist areas associated with cherry blossoms.
This is also a concrete step towards diversifying spring tourism products and enhancing the quality of visitor experiences in the land of a thousand flowers, Lam Dong.
The Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival Spring 2026, themed “Da Lat Cherry Blossoms — A Convergence of Spring Colours”, is chaired by the People’s Committee of Xuan Huong–Da Lat Ward, in coordination with the People’s Committees of Lam Vien–Da Lat, Xuan Truong–Da Lat, Lang Biang–Da Lat, and Cam Ly–Da Lat Wards, along with relevant agencies, units, and businesses.
Within the framework of the festival, a series of integrated experiential events will take place, harmoniously combining tourism, culture, the arts, and community life. The opening event will be held at Lam Vien Square, featuring artistic performances rich in the distinctive identity of Da Lat, the land of cherry blossoms, and celebrating the beauty of the flowers in a semi-realistic outdoor setting.
This will be followed by events promising unique and enjoyable experiences, such as tree planting under the theme “Radiant Da Lat Spring with Cherry Blossoms” in central Da Lat, as well as experiential spaces linked to creative art activities along Tran Hung Dao Street, an area renowned for its captivating cherry blossom scenery.
During the cherry blossom festival season, the Organising Committee will introduce and promote local signature products, including OCOP items, specialty tea, coffee, wine, and souvenirs imbued with the distinctive identity of Da Lat.
According to Phan Thi Xuan Thao, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Xuan Huong–Da Lat Ward, the festival has been developed as a series of integrated experiential events that blend tourism, culture, the arts, and community life, creating a strong attraction for visitors exploring Da Lat during the Lunar New Year and springtime.
Through the festival, organisers aim to spread messages on landscape protection and the development of green spaces, while creating a highlight to stimulate tourism in Da Lat–Lam Dong from the very first days of spring 2026.
