Long An claimed second place with ten gold, four silver and five bronze medals, trailed by former champions Ho Chi Minh City in third with six golds, nine silvers and six bronzes, four gold medals fewer than in their previous competition.
The three day finswimming event, which took place at the Phu Tho Swimming Pool in Ho Chi Minh City from May 14-16, also saw 47 new national records established in different age groups.
The annual tournament continues today with regular swimming events that have attracted 217 contestants from 26 localities across the country, who will be competing for nearly 120 sets of medals.
