The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Vu Ho, ICFOOD Chairman Park Yun-ik, and President of the VSAK Nguyen Tran Hung.
Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly organise a football tournament for Vietnamese youth and students during the summer of 2026, with the aim of creating a healthy recreational platform, strengthening exchanges and community connections, and fostering solidarity among young Vietnamese people in the RoK.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Ambassador Vu Ho congratulated the VSAK and ICFOOD — a Korean company operating in the fields of food, seasonings, and food-processing technology — on establishing a new framework for cooperation.
He also thanked ICFOOD for its active support for the Vietnamese student community in the RoK and for accompanying the association in organising the tournament.
According to Ambassador Vu Ho, the ICFOOD-VSAK Summer Football Tournament 2026 is a particularly meaningful event, not only contributing to greater exchanges and solidarity within the Vietnamese community in the RoK but also serving as a practical bridge between the Vietnamese community and Korean businesses.
Ambassador Vu Ho expressed his hope that the ICFOOD-VSAK Football Tournament would continue to expand and spread its influence, gradually becoming a shared event rich in identity and connectivity for the Vietnamese community in the RoK.
Thanking the Embassy of Viet Nam in the RoK for its active support and connections that enabled the cooperation between the VSAK and ICFOOD, ICFOOD Chairman Park Yun-ik said he was particularly delighted to accompany Vietnamese youth and students in the Republic of Korea in organising the ICFOOD-VSAK Summer Football Tournament 2026.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the VSAK and ICFOOD reflects the spirit of active cooperation between Vietnamese youth organisations and Korean businesses in promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening the friendship between Viet Nam and the RoK.
