The event was co-organised by the Da Nang City Youth Union, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation, the Da Nang Charity Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, and the Da Nang Children’s Palace.
At the event, organisers presented seven laptops and 15 smartphones to ethnic-minority students who had overcome difficulties and achieved strong academic results in the commune. Each device came with three years of free telecommunications charges and internet access, enabling recipients to gain better access to science and technology.
They also awarded 20 scholarships worth a total of 10 million VND to disadvantaged ethnic-minority students at Dac Pring Primary and Secondary Boarding School.
More than 580 gift packages—each containing a mooncake and a lantern—along with three lion dance heads, 500 copies of Thieu nien Tien phong va Nhi dong (Young Pioneers and Children) Newspaper, notebooks and school supplies were also presented to local students, bringing them a joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
As part of the programme, a water filtration system was installed at the kindergarten in Village 56, Dac Pring Commune, at a cost of 50 million VND. The facility will help improve access to clean water, ensure better hygiene at the school and meet the daily needs of teachers and students.
