The meeting was held at two venues — in Yen Bai Ward and Lao Cai Ward — and conducted in a hybrid format combining in-person participation with online connections to 99 commune- and ward-level locations across the province.

At the meeting, voters expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes of the first session of the 16th NA and the socio-economic performance in the first quarter of 2026, while voicing confidence that policy decisions would soon be effectively implemented.

Voters recommended further improvements to mechanisms and policies, the removal of administrative bottlenecks, and more effective implementation of national target programmes and the two-tier local government model. They also called for greater attention to grassroots personnel work, increased resources for socio-economic development, enhanced support for businesses, and stronger social welfare measures to improve people’s livelihoods.

In her remarks, Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed gratitude to voters in the province for their strong support and for electing her to the 16th National Assembly with a high level of confidence.

She addressed voters’ concerns regarding policies for grassroots officials and the need to ensure rapid and sustainable growth.

Regarding staffing allocations for provinces, the central authorities will pay attention to both training and capacity building, while improving the quality of the workforce and restructuring commune-level officials to meet task requirements. In the immediate term, the base salary will be increased by 8% from July 1, alongside reforms to salaries and allowances for public officials, in line with the State budget’s capacity.
