With many potentials and advantages in wind and solar power, Dak Lak is focusing on mobilising many resources to build renewable and clean energy projects. To develop energy in the right direction and become a bright spot in industrial development, the Action Programme of the Provincial Party Committee implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party has added many specific and synchronised solutions.
Accordingly, the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial administration of Dak Lak are coordinating to direct the electricity sector to build and upgrade the transmission grid system, capable of regional connectivity, ensuring safe electricity supply.
Simultaneously, the development of new energy sources linked to energy-chemical industrial complexes is encouraged; policies are proposed to support investors in accessing and transferring new technologies in the production of clean and renewable energy.
To ensure projects are completed on schedule and put into operation early, the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee organises on-site surveys, providing timely support and guidance to businesses in completing legal procedures, contributing to accelerating construction progress, and ensuring project quality.
The Provincial Party Committee assigns the Provincial People’s Committee to review and adjust planning accordingly so that projects can leverage the province’s economic advantages and ensure livelihoods for people in areas affected by the projects.
Following the directives of the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committees and authorities of communes and wards in Dak Lak Province actively cooperate closely with investors to research and select suitable locations for the plants; review and adjust the canal system to ensure the maintenance of water resources for local production.
Currently, the province is developing and implementing training programmes to develop local human resources, both to solve the employment problem for the locality and to meet the needs of projects.
Recognising that investing in and upgrading the electricity system to serve the people, especially in remote and disadvantaged villages, is a crucial political task, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee has issued numerous action programmes to concretise energy development goals in line with local realities.
The highest priority is providing a stable electricity supply to villages and hamlets located in particularly difficult areas. To realise this goal, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee have directed the electricity sector to diversify supply sources, in addition to leveraging the advantages of hydropower.
Alongside developing electricity sources, the province is paying special attention to the efficient and economical use of energy; it is proactively reviewing and evaluating energy saving programmes at the grassroots level, prioritising residential areas, agencies, and schools.
Based on its understanding of the current situation, Tuyen Quang Province is planning to support the replacement of lighting equipment with LED lights, develop solar-powered lighting in disadvantaged areas, build energy management models, and encourage the installation of rooftop solar power systems, contributing to cost reduction and promoting the transition to green energy; striving for over 99% of villages and hamlets to have access to the national power grid, with electricity loss below 4.5% by 2030.
Practical experience in localities shows that ensuring energy security is being prioritised, fundamentally meeting the needs of socio-economic development, national defence, and security, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people.
