Establishment of Vietnam’s diplomatic service marked in Russia

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia held a meeting on August 26 to mark the 77th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam’s diplomatic service and to review the Embassy’s activities in recent months.

At the event, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi highlighted key points from President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s speech during a working session with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 23 on implementing the foreign policy in accordance with the spirit of the 13th Party Congress’s resolution.

The diplomat stated that the Embassy has been working closely with various departments since late February to assess the situation and propose measures to boost Vietnam-Russia ties.

He added that the Embassy’s efforts in promoting vaccine diplomacy and economic diplomacy as well as removing difficulties have been recognised.

Regarding overseas Vietnamese affairs, the Embassy has frequently connected with and listened to the wishes of the Vietnamese community in Russia in order to make a timely response.

At the event, Ambassador Khoi extended his congratulations and thanks to the Embassy staff and their spouses while expressing his hope that the Embassy staff will be further aware of their responsibilities in connecting Vietnamese people in Russia.
