On October 8, FIFA officially announced the appointment of Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the VFF, as a member of its Men’s National Team Competitions Committee.

According to the official document sent to the VFF, the appointment was approved by the FIFA Council at its meeting on October 2. The Council also affirmed its support for Tran Quoc Tuan in fulfilling his duties in the new role.

This appointment not only recognises Tuan’s leadership qualities but also reflects the growing stature of Vietnamese football within the global football ecosystem.

Alongside his new position at FIFA, Tuan also holds several important roles within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).

In addition to Tuan, three other VFF officials have been entrusted by FIFA with key positions on specialised committees.

In women’s football, Nguyen Thanh Ha, VFF Deputy Secretary-General, has been appointed to the FIFA Women’s Club Competitions Committee.

Earlier, FIFA appointed Nguyen Thi My Dung, arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and Deputy Head of the VFF Licensing Committee, as a member of its Disciplinary Committee.

Dung also serves as a member of the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal and sits on the AFC Appeal Committee.
