First open cross-country tournament held in Hai Duong

The first open cross-country tournament, named "Journey to connect cultural heritage", took place in Hai Duong Province on February 26, attracting more than 850 professional, semi-professional, and amateur athletes to compete. The event featured the participation of a number of top athletes in Southeast Asia, celebrities, and foreign athletes who are working in Vietnam.

Athletes compete at 3 distances: 5km, 10km, and 15km. The 5km distance runs around Con Son Lake; the 10km and 15km distances start from the Con Son Pagoda bus station to the Kiep Bac Temple ritual gate.

Many national team members participated in the running events, such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Bui Thi Thu Ha, Le Van Thao, and Luong Duc Phuoc.

As a result, in the 5km distance, athletes Doan Thu Hang and Luong Duc Phuoc ranked first in the professional division, while Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet and Nguyen Van Cuong also belong to the movement.

In the 10km distance, athletes Le Van Thao and Bui Thi Thu Ha ranked first in the professional division, while Lo Bao Tam and Le Minh Tuan unified the movement.

At 15km distance, athletes Nguyen Trung Cuong and Nguyen Thi Oanh won first place in the professional division and Ha Van Duoc and Doan Thi Oanh united the movement.

The organisation of the expanded "Cultural Heritage Connection Journey" cross-country tournament not only creates opportunities to exchange, learn, and develop sports movements, but is also an opportunity to introduce to friends, both in the country and internationally, about the beauty of the land and people of Hai Duong.
