“For National Green Environment 2024” programme launched

“For National Green Environment 2024” programme was launched on June 5 to call for community participation in protecting health and the living environment as well as enhancing knowledge about emissions reduction and participation in the carbon market.
The programme will include many different environmental protection activities in provinces and cities across the country.

The event was launched by the Vietnam Association for the Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) and the Green Growth Research Institute (AGG) on the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5).

The highlight of this year’s programme is the search for Green Ambassadors aged 7-15 who will represent provinces and cities and accompany Miss World Vietnam Luong Thuy Linh to participate in communication activities on environmental protection and recycling projects.

The “For National Green Environment 2024” programme has been successfully held in many localities throughout the country over the past 10 years with diverse activities including forums on environmental protection and sustainable development and programmes on raising awareness on environmental protection, such as: recycled fashion shows, tree planting, walking, cycling, trash collection, and others.

With the aim of promoting a healthy, green and beautiful lifestyle in harmony with nature, the programme will be reviewed in Ho Chi Minh City on December 15.
