The sides’ new partnership will be a driving force for prosperity and security in the region, he noted.

Biden said he believes that the relationship will further develop in the coming years as partners and friends, and hopes to cooperate with the Vietnamese president to turn that future into reality and to build a world of peace, prosperity, and safety for all.

In his congratulatory message, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands expressed confidence that the constructive and extensive relationship between the two countries will continue to grow for the benefit and prosperity of their peoples.
