General Giang said he was deeply moved that many officers and soldiers, who had been granted leave for the Lunar New Year by their agencies and units and were preparing to celebrate the spring festival with their families and loved ones, quickly returned to their units upon receiving the order to carry out the mission.

In a very short time (from 5 am to 9 pm), the pontoon bridge across the Lo River was completed, exceeding the requirements of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of National Defence, promptly serving the people's transportation needs. This demonstrates the responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers of the Viet Nam People's Army in general, and of the forces directly carrying out the task in particular, towards the people of the localities; it profoundly reflects the revolutionary nature of an army that originates from the people, fights for the people, and is closely bound to the people, contributing to enhancing the qualities and cultural values of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new era, and strengthening the people’s trust in the Party, the State, and the Army.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, determination, efforts, and outstanding achievements of all soldiers.

He said he hoped that in the coming time, they will continue to build upon the achievements, overcome all difficulties, unite, cooperate, and make collective contributions, promptly complete the remaining items, organise the operation of the pontoon bridge effectively, serving the people’s travel needs with smooth, convenient, and absolutely safe service, contributing to the stability of people’s lives in the area.

On the occasion of welcoming the Year of the Horse 2026, General Giang extended his armest greetings and best wishes to all soldiers as well as to their families, relatives, and friends for a new year filled with health, happiness, success, and continuous progress.
