The winners, who were selected from 69 nominees from 39 agencies and units, were recognised for their notable achievements, holding numerous patents, practical solutions, high-quality international publications, and both national and international awards.
After running for more than two months (from June 3 to August 15), the Centre for Science, Technology, and Young Talent Development (under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee) received 69 nominations, including 62 eligible applications, spanning the fields of information technology, digital transformation and automation, medicine, biology, environmental science, and new materials.
There were 59 male and 10 female nominees, including one associate professor, 49 PhD holders, 14 master’s degree holders, and 6 bachelor’s degree holders.
Following two review sessions, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee selected 10 outstanding young talents for the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award including three in information technology, digital transformation, and automation; one in medicine; one in biology; two in environmental science; and three in new materials.
Each awardee will receive the "Creative Youth" badge from Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, a Golden Globe trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of 20 million VND.
