Golf: Tom Watson wins Masters Par-3 at age 68

Tom Watson needed only eight putts to post a six-under 21 and edge out Englishman Tommy Fleetwood and Belgian Thomas Pieters to become the oldest winner of the 2018 US Masters Par-3 Contest at age 68, at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, the US, April 4 (local time).

* Liverpool have apologised to Manchester City after bottles were thrown at their team bus as they arrived at Anfield for the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday. Fans let off red flares and sang their club's songs before the City coach arrived and beer cans were thrown at the bus. At least one bottle was thrown and smashed on the side of the bus but did not break any of its windows.

* Former England and Chelsea captain Ray Wilkins on Wednesday died in a London hospital at the age of 61 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Wilkins played 84 times for England between 1976 and 1986.

* Novak Djokovic has parted company with coach Radek Stepanek days after the departure of head coach Andre Agassi from his team. The 12-times grand slam winner ended his collaboration with Agassi last week after struggling to rediscover his form following a long elbow injury layoff.

* The government of Indonesia has completed construction of the biggest equestrian facility which will be used for horse riders to vie in the Asian Games this year. Situated at a 30 ha of land in the country's capital, this facility will be the first horse riding venue at the international level in Indonesia.

* Sixty Leicester City supporters will be awarded with free season tickets for the 2018-19 Premier League campaign as the club marks chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's 60th birthday on Wednesday.
