Hanoi authorities honour Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

Nhan Dan – A delegation of Hanoi authorities paid tribute to the great revolutionary Vladimir Ilyich Lenin yesterday, marking the 142nd anniversary of his birth (April 22, 1870 – 2012).

The delegation, consisting of representatives from the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front, laid wreaths at his statue in Hanoi’s Lenin Park.

The same day, delegations from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, the Hanoi municipal chapter of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, the Hanoi National University of Education, and numerous other organisations and people from all walks of life also laid flowers at the statue to commemorate the pre-eminent communist politician, great leader of the Russian Socialist Revolution and the international proletarian movement, and educator of the working classes around the world.
