The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, proposed coordination with the Copyright Office of Vietnam (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) to hold an international copyright enforcement conference in Hanoi this June.
With 34 topics, the event will hear 50 speeches from Vietnamese and international experts from the WIPO, the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Korea Copyright Protection Agency (KCOPA), the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance, the US Motion Picture Association, International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), and others.
According to the organising board, the event will focus on issues such as copyright and related rights, building respect for intellectual property (IP), and enforcing IP rights.
The symposium will see the participation of leaders of Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, and 70 experts from 15 countries.
