At the meeting, Doan Minh Huan said that in recent years, the friendship and solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos have continued to be consolidated and developed, becoming increasingly substantive, in-depth and effective. The State visit to Viet Nam by Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and his spouse, immediately following the success of the 12th National Congress of the LPRP, further affirmed the faithful and close bonds between the two Parties and the two States of Viet Nam and Laos.
At the invitation of Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the LPRP Central Committee and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, will lead a high-level Vietnamese delegation on a State visit to Laos on February 5, 2026. The visit will be an important milestone, helping to generate momentum for the effective implementation of high-level cooperation agreements between the two Parties and the two States in a new stage of development.
Sharing with the Lao Ambassador on training cooperation, Doan Minh Huan said that the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics will continue to work closely with the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration and relevant agencies in theoretical and practical exchanges, cadre training and fostering, scientific research and policy consultancy.
Through these activities, the Academy will make practical contributions to the effective implementation of cooperation agreements between the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two States, in line with its assigned functions and tasks.
