The worker housing and social housing project at Yen My II Industrial Park involves a total investment of nearly 5 trillion VND. It will feature 27 apartment buildings comprising approximately 9,000 units and 250 commercial townhouses, along with a full range of amenities and social infrastructure. The project aims to provide housing for workers at Yen My II Industrial Park and other industrial parks across Hung Yen Province, as well as for local residents.
Situated adjacent to National Highway 39A, the project benefits from a key regional transport link; it is located just 4 km from the Ha Noi–Hai Phong Expressway interchange, facilitating convenient travel to Hai Phong seaport and major economic hubs in Northern Viet Nam. The first apartment buildings are expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by June 2027, helping to address urgent housing needs and improve the living standards of industrial workers and local residents.
The Pho Hien Ward social housing project, planned over an area of more than 31 hectares, is a key initiative for Hung Yen Province. With an investment of approximately 7 trillion VND and comprising 25 apartment buildings, the project is designed to meet the diverse needs of various resident groups, enabling them to settle down and focus on their careers with greater stability. Handover is scheduled for 2027.
A key highlight of the Pho Hien Ward social housing project is its comprehensively planned “all-in-one” ecosystem of amenities, featuring schools at various levels, cultural and healthcare facilities, parks and green spaces, parking areas, and neighbourhood playgrounds. Every space — down to the smallest detail — is designed to enhance the quality of life, providing children with safe play areas, ensuring convenient healthcare access for the elderly, and offering families a healthy, sustainable living environment.

The social housing project in Thai Binh Ward, Hung Yen Province, is being developed by Machino Phu Xuan Co., Ltd. It involves the construction of two 15-storey buildings with a total investment exceeding 388 billion VND. According to the developer, the ground floor will house commercial and service spaces, a kindergarten, and a community activity room. The second floor is designed as an elevated parking area for residents, while floors 3 through 15 will contain 321 fully equippied apartments.
To enhance the landscape, the area connecting the two buildings on the third floor will feature a green space highlighted by an extensive system of hanging gardens. Upon completion, the project will provide housing for approximately 766 people, enabling them to settle down and build stable, prosperous lives.
Currently, numerous social housing projects comprising tens of thousands of apartments are being implemented across Hung Yen Province. In addition to projects already approved for construction, Hung Yen Province has planned 73 social housing projects covering a total area of approximately 153 hectares. These comprise 10 standalone social housing projects and 63 commercial housing projects that have allocated 20% of their land for social housing development. According to the Hung Yen Department of Construction, the province completed 1,500 social housing units during the 2021–2024 period and is set to complete another 1,483 units in 2025; furthermore, the province aims to hand over 44,750 social housing units between 2026 and 2030.
Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee, emphasised the practical significance of these social housing projects. These projects do not merely provide housing; they also integrate comprehensive urban infrastructure — including schools, community centres, sports facilities, parks, commercial and service areas, and parking lots. This sends a powerful message: Hung Yen Province focuses not only on industrial development and investment attraction but also prioritises the human element — the people who directly create the value of local development.
