Individuals and collectives in Dien Bien Province honoured with Lao orders

A delegation from the Lao People's Democratic Republic's Bokeo Province presented Orders of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to two collectives and 13 individuals in Dien Bien Province, during a ceremony held on August 21.

During the ceremony, representatives of Bokeo Province announced the decision of the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to confer the Third-Class Labour Order on two collectives and five individuals; the Second-Class Itxala (Freedom) Order on one individual; and the Third-Class Itxala Order on seven individuals.

Specifically, the Second-Class Itxala Order was conferred by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister (former Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and former Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Delegation of National Assembly deputies), in recognition of his achievements and contributions to cooperation and resource assistance for the development of Bokeo Province in recent years.

The seven individuals who have made achievements and contributions to cooperation and provided resources to support the development of Bokeo Province in recent years, and who were presented with the Third-Class Itxala Order by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, are Le Thanh Do, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council; Mua A Son, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee; Lo Van Phuong, former Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council; Giang Thi Hoa, former Vice Chairwoman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council; Pham Duc Toan, Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Organisation; Vu A Bang, Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilisation; and Lo Van Tien, former Vice Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee.

The two collectives, namely the Office of the Provincial Party Committee and the Dien Bien Department of Foreign Affairs, and five individuals who are officials and former leaders of the former Dien Bien Department of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, were presented with the Third-Class Labour Order by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in recognition of their achievements and contributions to cooperation and resource assistance for the development of Bokeo Province in recent years.

Representing the individuals and collectives honoured with Orders by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Le Thanh Do, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council, affirmed that the honour bestowed on the collectives and individuals by the Lao President was not only a source of joy for each collective or individual, but also a common honour for generations of officials in Dien Bien Province who had worked to cultivate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and peoples of Viet Nam and Laos.

He also affirmed that it was a concrete and profound expression of the close and steadfast ties between Dien Bien and Bokeo Provinces.

He added that in the coming time, Dien Bien Province would continue to work with Bokeo Province to uphold their tradition of solidarity and friendship, strengthen cooperation, and provide support, contributing to the development of the two provinces.
