Viet Nam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 0.95% to 1,507.63 points on July 30 after plummeting in the previous session.The index closed 14.22 points higher after dropping 64 points on Tuesday.
World gold prices continued their relentless rise on August 24, reaching 4,636.5 USD per ounce, as US public debt kept swelling, the US dollar weakened, and the US Treasury expanded its programme to buy back long-term bonds. In the domestic market, SJC gold rings and bars rose sharply, with selling prices of 149.5 and 150 million VND per tael, respectively.
