Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Jin Liqun, President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 6 (local time), on the sidelines of the expanded BRICS summit.

The China – Viet Nam relationship is currently at its best ever, marked by strong political trust, robust economic and trade cooperation, and increasingly deep strategic connection, according to a Chinese scholar.

As an important representative, her presence at the May 29-30 event demonstrated Viet Nam's support and deep interest in Tanzania's political and economic development processes. It was a testament to the close cooperation between the two countries, and an opportunity to promote their practical cooperation projects in the fields of infrastructure development, education, digital transformation and youth capacity building - Tanzania's top development priorities in the new term.
