Tu and a central delegation visited Tra Doa Village, Thang An Commune, where 17 households with 49 people remain isolated due to flooding.

The senior Party official presented gifts to local residents, inquired about their health, and encouraged them to overcome difficulties so they can soon resume normal life.

He asked the Da Nang authorities to provide the best possible support for residents in flood-hit areas, ensuring the supply of food and other essential goods to those facing prolonged isolation.

On the same morning, Tu inspected embankment erosion in Thuan An Village, Duy Nghia Commune.

Prolonged rainfall and rising river water levels over the past few days have caused multiple erosion spots along the embankment south of the Cua Dai Bridge, threatening riverside roads and nearby households.

At the inspection site, Tu offered encouragement to the forces working hard to make temporary repairs to the embankment.

Speaking at a ceremony to hand over relief funds to Da Nang, the Party official expressed sympathy for the great losses caused by the recent rain and flooding, while praising the prompt action of the relevant forces in mitigating the impacts of these natural disasters.

He called for concerted efforts to protect people’s lives, search for the missing, evacuate those in areas prone to flash floods and landslides, and promptly deliver essential goods to those in isolated areas.

Tu underlined the need to pay special attention to the elderly, children, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups.

The senior Party official also requested the swift restoration of essential infrastructure such as roads, electricity, communications, schools, and hospitals.
