The two units jointly inspected the condition of border markers and boundary demarcation signs and shared information on security and public order in the adjoining areas.
The inspection found that the national border markers remained intact and border security and public order remained stable. No violations of border regulations or cases of illegal entry or exit were detected in the border area.
Both sides agreed to continue holding regular briefings and exchanging information on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, while promptly addressing any incidents at the local level.
Alongside its border management duties, Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station has actively carried out people-to-people diplomacy initiatives in recent years, notably the “Sharing love, strengthening border ties” programme.
The station has provided four households in Mong Nam Village in Laos with more than 6,000 coffee seedlings and 500 kg of fertiliser, while also offering hands-on guidance on cultivation techniques. To date, all the planted seedlings have taken root and are growing well.
On this occasion, Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Border Guard Company 213 of Laos, helping strengthen solidarity and foster a peaceful, friendly, stable, and developing Viet Nam–Laos border.
