The 65kg champion also ended up 6th in the Overall category for winners of the ten weight categories two days later.
At the first World Men’s Bodybuilding Championships in the United Arab Emirates two years ago, Nguyen Van Lam pocketed a bronze in the 65kg division.
Another Vietnamese bodybuilder Pham Van Mach, who was crowned 55kg champion in both 2009 and 2010, failed to defend his top position and finished 6th in the 60kg category at this year’s event.
The tournament, which ran from November 11 to 13, brought together more than 100 bodybuilders from 45 countries and territories throughout the world competing in ten weight categories ranging from 60kg to over 100kg.
