The event was organised by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Can Tho City Association of Literature and Arts.
Under the themes ‘Landscape – People in Mekong Delta Region’ and ‘Hometown River’, the festival attracted over 3,000 entries in various categories, such as colour photos; black and white photos; marathon (taking photos relating to several themes throughout the entire day); and photos on Can Tho, by 428 artists.
The organising board selected 183 outstanding works to exhibit.
The works focused on the lives of the people in the delta and their dreams and challenges in developing the nation.
At the concluding ceremony, the organising board presented prizes to the most outstanding works.
The annual photography festivals aim to encourage photographers to exchange experiences and show-off their work to the public.
