NA Vice Chairman voiced his expectations on February 22 while receiving a high-ranking delegation of the Supreme Court of Thailand led by Chief Judge Cheep Jullamon, who are paying a visit to Vietnam.

Luu said that the Vietnamese NA is paying attention to the role and operation of judicial agencies. The country’s 2013 Constitution affirms the court’s central position in the judicial system.

He informed his guest that Vietnam’s NA recently adopted important laws in the judicial sector, including the revised law on corruption prevention and combat, the law on amnesty, among others.

For his part, Cheep Jullamon said the visit aims to further enhance cooperation between the two countries’ judicial agencies and realise the MoU on collaboration between the two supreme courts.

He believed that the relations between the two sides’ courts would become stronger in the time to come.
