In the finals of men’s team category, the Hai Dang - Tay Ninh team No. 1 faced the Hung Thinh - Ho Chi Minh City team No. 1 for the trophy. In the first single match, former national champion Pham Minh Tuan of Hung Thinh - HCMC entertained his familiar opponent Trinh Linh Giang. In their prior confrontation at the 2018 VTF Pro Tour 3 - Vietravel Cup final, Hai Dang - Tay Ninh’s Linh Giang defeated his senior, affirming that Giang has surpassed the former’s level, who often won over him in the past.
In the final match yesterday, Linh Giang proved to be superior in the first set, earning an easy 6-2 win over Minh Tuan. However, in set 2, Tuan performed well to push Giang into impatience and making mistakes, but then the youngster was awakened, levelling 4-4 and 5-5, and finally claiming the second set at 7-5.
Hai Dang - Tay Ninh was sure to win the trophy as in the second single match of the finals Vietnamese American Daniel Nguyen overwhelmed young talent Tat Thai Nguyen and won 6-0 in two straight sets in less than an hour.

The tennis tournament was co-organised by the Vietnam Tennis Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, in collaboration with the Hai Dang Joint Stock Company.
