Nha Trang-Cam Lam and Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressways to open to traffic on May 19

The Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway in Khanh Hoa province and Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway in Binh Thuan province will be put into operation at 10 am on May 19.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway, with a length of 49km and the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet expressway, with a length of 101km, are subprojects of several expressways on the North-South expressway in the east.

Vehicles travelling on these two routes do not have to pay tolls in the immediate future.

The Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway project was completed three months ahead of schedule.

The two expressways will only serve cars, as motorbikes and pedestrians will not be allowed to enter the expressways, according to the temporary traffic plan of the Ministry of Transport.

Each expressway has four lanes, allowing a maximum speed of 80km per hour and a minimum speed of 60km per hour.
