Nha Trang Sea Festival opens in Khanh Hoa

The 2023 Nha Trang Sea Festival opened at April 2 Square in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province on June 3, under the theme ‘Khanh Hoa – Aspiration for Development’.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu emphasised that the festival is among major activities to celebrate the 370th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province.

He stressed that with great potential and advantages, Khanh Hoa has worked to realise its aspiration of establishing itself as a major marine economic centre of the country and a smart city which is environmentally friendly, rich in cultural identity.

The opening ceremony featured songs, dances, and stage performances highlighting the land, culture, sea, and islands of Khanh Hoa Province.

Notably, the first-ever light show featuring more than 1,650 drones was staged featuring a background of photos of iconic tourist sites and landscapes in Khanh Hoa Province.

The opening ceremony wrapped up with a colourful firework display.

More than 70 activities and events will take place within the framework of the festival, including street art performances, an Ao Dai show, a whale worshipping ritual, sports competitions, and a cuisine fest.
