In his speech at the event, Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Le Quoc Minh recalled the glorious history of Vietnam’s revolutionary press, praising its coverage of the country’s great achievements in recent years.
He also highlighted the role of the press in the fight against corruption, the protection of national sovereignty and Vietnam’s extensive international integration.
Minh said amid the dynamism of the Vietnamese press, Nhan Dan has taken bold steps to enhance the capacity of its staff and the quality of work.
The Nhan Dan leader added that the newspaper’s constant and determined efforts in a new context have affirmed its position as a leading press organisation in Vietnam.

Following the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day was a ceremony to present the Nhan Dan Press Awards for the best works in 2023 across print, online, television and photo categories.
From 218 submissions, the awards council selected 57 high-quality journalism works to present nine A prizes, 14 B prizes, 16 C prizes and 18 consolation prizes.
In 2023, the Nhan Dan staff also won various prizes at the contests held by ministries, central agencies and localities.
