Speaking at the closing ceremony, Nhan Dan’s Deputy Editor-in-chief Que Dinh Nguyen said the six-day event drew the participation of nearly 200 players from 17 delegations, who produced an exciting and dramatic tournament.
He said the event also attracted wide public attention, with many spectators and fans watching directly at Khanh Hoa Sports Stadium as well as through mass media.
In addition to the country’s elite players, this year’s tournament recognised young players, who are asserting their strength and promise to achieve new successes in the future.
According to the Nhan Dan official, the 2024 tournament has demonstrated the improved professional level of Vietnam’s table tennis.
Nguyen took the occasion to thank the efforts of the organising committee, the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, Khanh Hoa Province, and the sponsors for making the tournament a success.
At the closing ceremony, the organisers officially awarded the medals to the winning teams and individuals in seven events, as well as the prizes for the best young male and female players.
