This year’s tournament will see the participation of nearly 200 players, from 18 professional table tennis delegations throughout the country, with strong centres such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa.
The championships promise to be high quality and witness fierce competition, thanks to the presence of national players who recently competed at the Paris Olympics qualifications, as well as young players with impressive results at the Southeast Asian junior tournament.
There will also be newcomers from Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Nghe An, demonstrating the strong growth of Vietnam’s table tennis.
The players will compete for seven sets of medals in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events.
In addition, there are two prizes for two promising young male and female players.
On the occasion, a photo contest capturing the beautiful moments of the Nhan Dan table tennis tournament was also launched for both professional and amateur photographers.
The games of the championships will be broadcast live on Nhan Dan Television Channel and Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.
