Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son emphasised that honouring teachers has become a cherished cultural tradition. He acknowledged the significant contributions of teachers to education, science, and innovation, and expressed deep gratitude and congratulations to those receiving the titles. The minister highlighted the immense dedication required for quality education and praised the honourees for their commitment and perseverance.
This year, following a rigorous selection process, the title of People’s Teacher was conferred upon 21 individuals and the title of Meritorious Teacher was presented to 1,167 teachers. The Ministry also celebrated 251 exemplary teachers from various levels of education.
Among them, Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, a preschool teacher from Thanh An Kindergarten, shared: “This honour is a priceless reward for my 16 years in the profession. It motivates me to strive further in my career and life. I hope preschool teachers receive more opportunities to access modern teaching methods and better resources to implement advanced educational models. Greater attention to early childhood education, including benefits and retirement policies, would help attract and retain young talents.”
The Ministry underscored that selecting honourees involves a strict evaluation of their professional excellence, contributions to education, and positive influence on the field, with recommendations approved by the president.
This event reaffirms the critical role of educators in shaping the nation’s future and highlights the society’s deep appreciation for their dedication.
