Overseas Vietnamese living in Vientiane under difficult circumstances get support

The Vietnam Cultural Centre in Laos, in coordination with the Vietnamese Association and the Vietnamese Business Association in Vientiane, held an intimate meeting on January 30, to present gifts to help overseas Vietnamese, in difficult circumstances in Vientiane.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane, Le Van Mui, said that the New Year of the Ox 2021, is about to pass, despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the feeling of attachment and solidarity in the Vietnamese community is promoted, to overcome challenges and welcome the new Spring of the Year of the Tiger 2022.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, Vietnamese associations and businesses in Laos, presented 150 gifts, each worth 300,000 LAK to 150 disadvantaged families, in the capital of Vientiane.

As many as 24 organisations and individuals have contributed 57 million LAK and 100 USD, to support families in need on this occasion.
