Speaking at the launching ceremony, Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilisation, Chairman of the Viet Nam Journalists’ Association emphasised that the website on the 14th Congress of the Party has a dual mission: it is both an official and timely information channel and a modern digital media platform, demonstrating the aspiration of the Party to proactively grasp the trends of the technological era, bringing the Party’s ideology and guidelines to the people in a closer, more intuitive and more vivid way than ever before.
With that effort, Nhan Dan Newspaper has continued to maintain its leading role and position, as the Party’s political and ideological flag on the press front. This modern media tool will contribute to realising the aspiration of “building a strong and prosperous Viet Nam in the new era”, under the leadership of the Party, headed by Party General Secretary To Lam.
Nhan Dan Newspaper is committed to maintaining and developing the website during and after the 14th National Congress of the Party, contributing to creating a valuable digital archive of the history of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, he noted, adding that the construction of a special news website on the Congress plays an extremely important role in the communication work, widely disseminating the contents of the Congress, creating unity in awareness and action throughout the entire Party, people and army, promoting patriotism, the will to be self-reliant and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and powerful country.
Speaking at the ceremony, Party General Secretary To Lam underscored that “the Communist Party of Viet Nam - 14th National Congress” website is a digital address, the official information infrastructure of the 14th National Congress of the Party, a fast, accurate, reliable, friendly information address, ensuring “one source - one standard - one voice” in the entire process of preparing, organising the Congress and implementing the Resolution after the 14th Congress.
The Party chief emphasised that the 14th National Congress of the Party is a major political event, shaping the vision, goals and breakthroughs for the new development stage of the country. In the context of multi-platform communication, extremely fast information circulation, multi-dimensional interweaving, each official information has the value of a “fulcrum” for society to orient its perception and action. Therefore, the website must fulfil three core tasks: providing correct - sufficient - timely information; orienting public opinion with scientific arguments and accurate data; and connect-interact to create social consensus at home and abroad.
The website must be a place to update the programme, content, documents, and results of the Congress; a channel to publish press releases, Q&A documents, graphic data, official photos and videos, he said, adding that the three principle requirements are accuracy, timeliness, and ease of understanding. Each number, quote, and term is standardised; the news is concise, clear, with a source and publication time; documents are easy to find, easy to download, easy to cite; the experience is optimised on mobile devices so that everyone can access them quickly and completely.
Affirming the launch of the website is an important step to organise a Congress of Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development, the General Secretary expressed his belief that with the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the proactive and professional spirit of advisory and support agencies, the companionship of the press and media, and the trust and support of compatriots at home and abroad, the website will successfully fulfil its mission: to be an official source of information, a sharp weapon on the ideological-cultural front, and a strong bridge between the Congress and the people.
Also at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders pressed the button to launch the website on “Communist Party of Vietnam – 14th Congress” – the official information channel serving the communication work of the 14th Party Congress. This is also a data press channel on the National Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 tenure.
The website has been built by Nhan Dan Newspaper under the direction of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications, Education and Mass Mobilisation, aiming to provide official, complete and timely information on activities leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam - a major political event of strategic significance to the cause of national construction and development in the new era.
The website will be continuously updated, with official information sources from functional agencies, serving readers who are cadres, party members, Vietnamese people of all walks of life and overseas Vietnamese.
In the context that the whole country is implementing a revolution to streamline the organisation and operate a two-tier local government model, the website has fully updated information about the congresses of 3,321 party committees of communes, wards and special zones nationwide; as well as congresses of party committees directly run under the Party Central Committee and party committees of provinces and cities.
