Party leader works with Party committee central agencies

Nhan Dan – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong held a working session with the Party Committee of the Centrally-run Agencies bloc (PCCAB) on August 18, to discuss the implementation of the 11th National Party Congress Resolution and the Party Central Committee (PCC) fourth Plenum, 11th tenure Resolution on Party building.

Speaking at the session, PCC member and Secretary of the bloc’s Party Committee Dao Ngoc Dung reported that the Committee has gained significant achievements since the 11th National Party Congress, including improving the quality of its Party cell activities, consolidating the organisation of departments and units under the PCCAB, and raising the quality and efficiency of leadership tasks and Party building work, as well as strengthening unity among the PCCAB members.

Regarding the implementation of the PCC fourth Plenum, 11th tenure Resolution on Party building, delegates at the session agreed that the PCCAB have correctly identified and implemented policies and measures to combat the degradation of political ideology, thought, morality and lifestyles of a number of cadres and Party members at all levels, enhanced inspection and supervision to detect violations, and handled some complicated cases that arose in some Party organisations at the grassroots level.

Addressing the session, General Secretary Trong praised the efforts made by the PCCAB and its members in implementing the PCC’s resolutions.

He affirmed the function, duty, position and special importance of the PCCAB, and suggested the Party members in the bloc their assigned functions and duties and perform them carefully.

He added that the PCCAB needs to work more effectively on the political and ideological education and administration of its members, in addition to improving their morality and lifestyles, while promoting criticism and self-criticism.

The Party leader proposed to improve Party staff, including management, assessments, appointments and promotions. He also suggested the PCCAB strengthen inspection and supervision, and enhance co-ordination with relevant departments and agencies to fully implement its assigned tasks and create a clean and strong PCCAB.
