The government leader asked the Ministry of Public Security to work with the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Finance, and provincial governments to implement the application of biometric data technology on the VNeID identification system for use at all domestic airports by the end of October.
The solution must also be rolled out at metro stations, Ha Noi Railway Station, and car parks in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City by the end of the year.
The Ministry of Public Security is also tasked with guiding the integration of biometric data on the electronic identification system, the national population data into the information systems of organisations and enterprises to prevent fraudulent activities.
The Ministry of Public Security will also work with the Government Office and relevant agencies to roll out 25 fully online public administrative procedures on the VNeID app by the end of September.
