The “July Promotion Fair” served as the opening highlight in a series of activities under the 2025 Ha Noi Promotion Programme.
Attracting large numbers of consumers
The event welcomed nearly 50,000 visits. Many stalls reported revenues doubling their initial projections. This contributed to stimulating visitor demand in the city and advancing digital transformation in commercial activities.
In the context of the consumer market recovering from global economic fluctuations, the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade selected the theme “Smart Consumption – Stimulating Spending” as the highlight of this year’s promotion programme.
Alongside traditional sales activities, the department proactively designed a digital consumer experience space that integrates technology, supporting businesses and small retailers in accessing modern payment and marketing platforms.
Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade, emphasised: “With a direction toward developing modern and sustainable trade, the department has not only organised a promotional event, but also created an environment for digital consumption experiences, supporting small businesses in transforming their sales methods and enhancing competitiveness.”
In addition to the in-person fair at An Binh City Urban Area, nearly 1,000 promotional sales points from local retail systems, store chains, and businesses including Central Retail (GO!, Topmarkets), BRGmart, Fujimart, Winmart, Aeon, Lotte, Co.opmart, MediaMart, Pico, Soi Bien, HomeFarm, and Hacom – actively participated in the programme.
Participating businesses implemented online ordering apps and offered “Quick cashless payment” services directly at points of sale. They supported customers in placing orders online, accessing discounts via QR codes, making cashless payments, and interacting through various technology platforms.
Breakthroughs in digital transformation
Le Manh Phong, Regional Director of GO! in the North, observed: “Expanding online access channels and offering cashless payment solutions provided additional convenience for customers. This not only helped boost our revenue during the event but also expanded our user base for online ordering apps – particularly among the 25–35 age group, who are ready to spend via digital platforms.”

A standout achievement of the event was the successful connection between digital payment solution providers and small businesses and traditional vendors.
Do Van Tu, Northern Sales Director of Nextpay Digital Transformation Group, shared that the company supported nearly 50 small retailers in integrating QR payments, helping improve transaction speed and attract cashless customers. Many of these retailers expressed enthusiasm and stated they would continue using the service long-term. This is a positive sign for the digitalisation of small-scale retail.
Similarly, Online Mobile Services Joint Stock Company (owner of the MoMo e-wallet) reported that the event offered opportunities to reach new users, especially small individual retailers who had never used e-wallets before. Through the event, approximately 500 new accounts were opened, highlighting the strong potential of digitalising trade activities.
The success of the event lays the groundwork for the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade to continue promoting the digitalisation of future large-scale promotional programmes — particularly during the “November Promotion Fair” and “Ha Noi Midnight Sale” events scheduled for November 2025.
The goal is not merely to boost sales and stimulate consumption but to build a modern consumer ecosystem in which Vietnamese goods are distributed through digital sales channels and reach broader markets.
