Tran, accompanied by Algerian Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Houria Meddahi, expressed her deep impression of Algeria - a beautiful country with a rich cultural identity and hospitable people.
The children at the centre warmly welcomed Tran with sweet dates and self-prepared dance performances. Their innocence and purity brought heartfelt emotions to the visiting delegation.
The El Biar centre is home to children with especially difficult circumstances, including orphans, abandoned children, and those whose mothers are serving prison sentences or whose families have broken apart. More than a shelter, it serves as a nurturing home that cares for and helps the children build trust and hope for the future.
Tran expressed her appreciation for the dedication of the staff at the centre, who work tirelessly each day to provide disadvantaged children with a safe and nurturing environment to grow.
She showed her hope that the centre will remain a strong source of support, enabling the children to live in love, access education and social services, and pursue a brighter future. She also encouraged the children to study hard and strive to become productive members of society.
Houria Meddahi and the centre’s leadership expressed their sincere gratitude for Tran’s goodwill and gifts, noting that her visit was a great source of encouragement for the children and the staff who devote themselves to caring such children every day.
As part of her activities in Algeria, Tran, together with Minister Meddahi, visited the Djaballah Said pottery workshop and experienced traditional Algerian ceramic-making techniques. They jointly decorated a ceramic piece adorned with distinctly Algerian motifs.
