During the visit, the State leader was briefed on the 65-year history of the academy, which was established during the resistance war against the French and has made significant contributions to Vietnam’s victories over foreign aggressors.

Since the country regained peace and unification, the academy has continuously adopted curricular changes to meet new logistical requirements and contribute to building a modern army.

President Sang noted that as the world and region continue to see uncertainties, the task of strengthening security and defence has presented new challenges to military logistics.

He called on the academy to renovate its curricula, teaching and learning methods, and scientific research as well as building an honest, strong and competent Party committee with a high combat capacity.

The president believed that building on its traditions over the past 65 years, the Military Academy of Logistics would continue to grow and effectively fulfil its duties.
