The statement was made by Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee(PCC) and head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai while working with the Can Tho city Party Committee and the Party committee of export processing and industrial zones in Can Tho province on August 31 and September 1.
Addressing the working session, Politburo member Mai appreciated achievements made by Binh Duong province in implementing the Conclusion No.80 of the Secretariat (tenth tenure) on accelerating the implementation of Directive No.07 of the Politburo (eighth tenure) on enhancing the building of Party and unions in private enterprises, limited companies, private equity companies and enterprises with foreign investment.
She also emphasised that employees admitted to the Party should be people with good morality and enthusiasm in working.
The Politburo member asked the Can Tho Party Committee and Party committee of the export processing and industrial zones to improve the quality of trade unions in enterprises in order to protect the legitimate interests of workers.
The movements and activities of the youth union and women’s associations in enterprises need to bring practical benefits to workers, added Politburo member Truong Thi Mai.
Earlier on the same day, the Politburo member attended a meeting to celebrate 71st anniversary of August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
