Lang Son Province urged to develop boarding school system

The northern mountainous province of Lang Son should focus on developing the boarding school model, including the construction of dormitories for students at all levels.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam made the statement while working with leaders of Lang Son Province on the education and training situation in the locality, on September 19.

Speaking at the working session, he appreciated the results that the provincial educational sector has achieved over recent years.

The Deputy PM asked the province to pay strong attention toseveral issues, such as the rearrangement of school system, teachers staffing, education for ethnic minority groups, and the pilot conversion of some high-quality public schools.

Deputy PM Dam also assigned relevant ministries and agencies to consider and solve problems proposed by the provincial authorities.

On the same day, the Deputy PM visited Lang Son Province’s Ethnic Minority Boarding High School.
