NA Vice Chairwoman lauds outstanding women in the fight to tackle drugs

Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairwoman of National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong hosted a meeting in Hanoi on October 11 with a delegation of women who have stood out in the fight to tackle drugs.

The NA Vice Chair warmly applauded efforts and contributions made by 208 delegates representing thousands of women working in armed forces, border guards, coast guards, and customs in combating drugs.

She expressed her hope that the honourees would continue promoting their achievements and fulfilling their assigned tasks.

She also asked ministries and sectors to foster the implementation of the Secretariat’s Directive 09 on enhancing the Party’s leadership in the movement of all people protecting national security, and the Politburo’s Directive 36 on preventing and controlling drug related crimes.

An art programmes honouring the outstanding women was held in Hanoi in the evening the same day by the Ministry of Public Security in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

In addition to assorted art performances, the event also featured talks by the delegates on their working experience.
