Deputy PM urges active international economic integration

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Hue asked ministries and localities to strengthen and attach importance to research, evaluation and forecast of new issues related to international economic integration that can impact on Vietnam.

Specifically, the Ministry of Industry and Trade shall preside over the capacity of the forecasting group in order to prompty report to the Prime Minister on the status of the economy, the shifting of trends and the structure of world trade flow.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment is responsible for coordinating with relevant ministries and agencies to assess the attraction and use of the FDI over recent time as well as to clarify opportunities and challenges for Vietnam.

The State Bank of Vietnam shall report on the participation of foreign investors in investment, buying bonds and shares in the stock market while the Office of the Steering Committee should coordinate with ministries and branches to provide technical assistance and consultancy for businesses and localities.

The Deputy Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to focus on organising the third International Economic Integration Forum with specific and practical contents to directly serve the needs of enterprises.
