Naval Armed Service honours outstanding professional soldiers

The Naval Armed Service held a ceremony in the northern port city of Hai Phong on February 11 to honour outstanding professional naval soldiers.

The honourees were bright examples who have made many achievements and contributed greatly to the construction and development of Vietnam People’s Naval.

They have proactively studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, being made worthy of the title “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Admiral Pham Hoai Nam, Commander of the Vietnamese Navy, expressed his appreciation for the achievements and the great contributions and dedication of professional soldiers over generations.

During the cause of national liberation as well as the protection of the country’s sovereignty over the seas and islands, the professional soldiers have been always stood as the key force, contributing to fulfilling the political mission of the naval service.

Since 2015, 18 professional soldiers in the service have received Nguyen Phan Vinh Awards and five others have been honoured with the Military Creative Youth titles.
