Attending the event were Vietnamese Consul General to Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Education Publishing House Nguyen Van Tung, Head of the Management Board of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani Pham Duc Dau, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Ngo Minh Hien, President of the Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani Luong Xuan Hoa, and President of the Vietnamese Business Association in Thailand Ho Van Lam.
Udon Thani Governor Rachan Sunhua, President of the Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Association Sanan Angubolkul, also attended the event, along with a large number of overseas Vietnamese from several provinces and cities across Thailand.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers in remembrance of and profound gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh.
At the painting exhibition “Artist Dao Trong Ly’s affection for Uncle Ho”, held as part of the commemorative activities, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh affirmed that the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani is a sacred place closely associated with the revolutionary years of President Ho Chi Minh in Thailand. On this occasion, every Vietnamese person remembers President Ho Chi Minh with deep reverence and respect.
Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasised that the exhibition “Artist Dao Trong Ly’s affection for Uncle Ho” is a meaningful activity to mark the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh – the national liberation hero, world cultural figure, and great leader who devoted his entire life to national independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people.
The 19 paintings on display carry profound historical and emotional value. They not only recreate historical moments but also evoke patriotism and the spirit of great national unity, while expressing deep gratitude from generations of Vietnamese people for President Ho Chi Minh’s immense contributions and noble sacrifices.
Speaking to a correspondant from Nhan Dan Newspaper in Thailand Representative Office, Sanan Angubolkul, President of the Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Association, said: “With sincere affection, I have always held the highest respect for President Ho Chi Minh. As everyone knows, he was the founder of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. He devoted his entire life to the Vietnamese people. President Ho Chi Minh remains a source of inspiration for people around the world in their struggles for national independence.”
On the same day, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, together with the Management Board of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani and the Vietnam Education Publishing House, held a launch ceremony for the bilingual book “Uncle Ho in Thailand” at the site’s premises.
