Programme to protect and support children in cyber environment approved

The Prime Minister has recently signed Decision No.830/QD-TTg to approve a programme to protect and support children to interact in the cyber environment in a healthy and creative manner in the 2021-2025 period.

The programme sets the goal of protecting information, privacy, and personal secrets when children access information and participate in activities in the cyber environment.

It also aims to prevent and handle any acts of taking advantage of the cyber environment to perform prohibited acts against children in any form as prescribed by law.

At the same time, the programme also proposes solutions to provide children with digital knowledge and skills in accordance with each age to help them know how to protect themselves and how to interact safely in the cyber environment, such as using a healthy and safe internet; protecting themselves when participating in interactions in the cyber environment, and how to identify, notify and denounce acts and cases of child abuse in the cyber environment, among others.
