The event was opened with a colourful arts programme gathering the participation of nearly 150 artists, singers, and performers.
The opening ceremony also included performances honouring the cultural identities of ethnic groups in Binh Lieu District, such as Tay, Dao, and San Chi.
The culture and tourism week, which will run until the end of this year, features a flower festival, a women’s football tournament, a mountain climbing contest, and a paragliding festival.
The programme is among Binh Lieu District’s effort to diversify its tourist products, with the aim to realise the target of welcoming 250,000 visitors in 2024.
