The fair gathered over 200 booths, including 70 booths from localities in Quang Ninh Province and more than 130 booths from 36 provinces, cities, trade promotion organisations, and business associations around the country.
According to Director of Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thi Hien, the fair is an important trade promotion activity to expand the consumption market and seek export opportunities for OCOP products of Quang Ninh and other provinces. It is also an event to serve tourists, as well as local consumers.
A space was set up at the fair to showcase models, publications, and information on the outstanding socio-economic achievements of Mong Cai City, as well as its landscapes and tourist attractions. The city’s trade potential and strengths and its role in bridging ASEAN countries with the Chinese market were also highlighted at the fair.
On the occasion, 33 products and groups of products were certified as typical rural industrial products of Quang Ninh province in 2023. The organising board also launched the OCOP Quang Ninh e-commerce platform, which will be a comprehensive solution to promote OCOP products and typical products of Quang Ninh province.
The fair will take place until September 4.
